Teamwork in Adrenaline
Each member of a pit crew works under the pressure of knowing that one mistake could mean the race. But if they can help shave one second off a pit stop, it could put their team closer to the checkered flag.
Well, you know, when we do a pit stop, it’s just teamwork. There’s no one person any more important than the other person. I mean, the guy that cleans the windshield or stops the car with the stop sign, it’s all a team effort, it’s all teamwork.
Some of Pollier’s guys grew up around racing. Other were just lucky to get the job if jumping over a protective wall to work on a car driven by someone called Ironhead can be called lucky.
The first time I ever went over the wall, it thought I was going to throw up. It was unbelievable. The adrenaline was pumping and I was ready to go. And now, it’s a good job and it’s exciting.
